At 650 meters elevation, Mas d’En Caçador, is one of Priorat’s highest sites;here, Garnaxta Peluda rules the day; this lighter clone gives the wine here a somewhat ‘spicy’ profile which contrasts rather nicely with the rich warmth of the Carinyena. As the ‘OG’ Nit de Nin, it rivals Clos Erasmus and L’Ermita as a ‘grand marque’ of Priorat. Señor Luis Gutiérrez of The Wine Advocate remarks of Mas d’En Caçador,: “This is refined beyond comprehension; there’s purity, elegance, power and detail, symmetry and proportion.
